ABOUT THE JOB

SUMMARY:

The Sustainable Fashion Forum is looking for a passionate and hardworking Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our partnerships team. As the Strategic Partnerships Manager, you'll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with the partnerships team to cultivate and strengthen meaningful relationships with both existing and prospective partners.

As a small and growing team, this position is a commission-based contract with the opportunity for extension as SFF continues to expand and the partnerships manager demonstrates significant contributions to our mission and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cultivate, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between SFF and its partners.
  • Facilitate regular communications and updates with partners to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement partnership strategies that align with SFF’s mission and contribute to mutual growth.
  • Assess potential partners for strategic fit, aligning with SFF’s mission, values, and objectives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of partnership initiatives, making recommendations for optimization.
  • Monitor and report on partnership performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams within SFF to ensure partnership strategies are integrated and mutually beneficial.
  • Work with the marketing, sales, and product teams to leverage partnerships for broader organizational objectives.
  • Work towards achieving or exceeding set commission-based sales and partnership goals.
  • Demonstrate significant contributions to SFF’s mission and objectives, with a view towards job extension as the organization expands.
  • Provide insights and feedback from partners to SFF’s leadership, aiding in strategic decision-making.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in partnership development, business development, or a similar role, preferably within the fashion industry or a related sector.
  • Proven track record of cultivating and managing strategic partnerships that have driven tangible growth.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify synergies and evaluate partnership opportunities.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small, growing team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas and proposals effectively.
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales and partnership goals on a commission-based structure.
  • Experience in developing and delivering effective sales pitches and presentations.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in partnership management.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools and platforms.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to the evolving needs of a growing organization.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in a commission-based role could be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of the fashion industry, including its challenges, opportunities, and key players.
  • Familiarity with sustainable practices and trends impacting the fashion industry would be a plus, given the mission of SFF.

  • Growth in the number and quality of strategic partnerships, evidenced by enhanced community engagement, event attendance, and collaborative project outcomes.
  • Positive feedback from partners and internal stakeholders regarding the value and effectiveness of partnership engagements.
  • Increased visibility and influence of The Sustainable Fashion Forum within the sustainable fashion ecosystem.
  • Achievement of mutually beneficial goals with partners, contributing to the advancement of sustainability within the fashion industry.
