Acne Studios is recruiting a Sustainability Coordinator with the task of delivering short- and long-term initiatives focused on labor rights and sustainable materials aligned with Acne Studios’ sustainability strategy. This is a role where you will get the opportunity to contribute to other key business targets on animal welfare, traceability, transparency, and human rights in a progressive fashion house while developing collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners.

The role

This is a role that entails measuring performance and progress of strategies for the designated focus areas and execute improvement and initiatives. You will support to achieve our long-term target on sustainable materials and to maintain the ‘Leadership’ rating within Fair Wear Foundation on social responsibility. This includes analyzing sustainable material use and follow-up on animal welfare and/or traceability standards on wool, leather, and cotton. Further, you will plan, participate, and follow up on social audits and supplier trainings and coordinate seasonal supplier evaluations and scoring on social compliance. In this role you will support on sustainability certifications processes in collaboration with internal departments and external certification bodies. Additionally, follow global developments related to material innovation on sustainable materials. You will report to Senior Sustainability manager and belong to the Product & Design department.

This is a full-time position starting in December 2023.

You

We are looking for someone with an academic degree within sustainability, human rights, textile technology or another relevant field, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience from a similar role preferably from high fashion bands. You are a structured and driven sustainability generalist with knowledge of labor rights, working conditions in international supply chain, and the production development processes within fashion brands. You have experience from working with social compliance and environmental certifications as well as research. Experience in PLM and/or Higg index is a merit. You have high aspirations and understand the importance of excellence. You act with integrity at all times and have a natural ability to influence and build trust. You value simplicity over complexity and are guided by impact rather than prestige. You are pragmatic and hands-on and get things done. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and teamwork are highly valued. And ideally, you enjoy working in a creative international environment with a wide range of personalities.

Acne Studios is a global company with English as working language. Fluency in written and oral English is therefore a must, Italian is meriting. You will be based in our Stockholm HQ. Limited business travel may occur.
